The first step: Choose the right corrugated iron roof for the project:

Corrugated iron roofs are increasingly popular for houses, factories and factories. However, in reality, not all architectures use the same type of corrugated iron. Depending on your construction needs, you should pay attention to choose between the following 3 types of materials:

Step 2: Check technical requirements & measurement:

Before construction, you need to make sure the construction materials meet the technical requirements. The rafter frame, purlins of the house must be dry, with a humidity not exceeding 12%. For iron purlins, you should use anti-rust paint and check their warping. This step will help the screws not to be deflected out during the tensioning process.

Most corrugated iron roofs are large in size but light in weight. When installing, workers often choose the method of lifting the corrugated iron roof in the right direction and then placing it on the whole house. Therefore, calculating the size of the roofing sheet is an indispensable step in preparing the construction plan and ordering materials. First, you need to determine the slope (distance from the highest point to the lowest point) of the roof. Roofs with steep slopes (>15%) have the ability to quickly drain water but are often quite expensive to build. You can then use the slope factor to determine the area and coverage of the roof.

Step 3: Prepare materials and working location:

Step 4: Remove the old roof and repair the damaged part:

To replace a roof, you should start at the highest and farthest point, and then remove all old roofing, roof panels, vents, and guards. These parts need to be replaced with new sheet metal to ensure the durability of the corrugated iron roof. In addition, you can reposition gutters and clean up the ceiling. After the old materials have been removed, the bare bones and plywood of the roof frame will be exposed, making repairs to the roof frame, insulation and ventilation system easy. The last step: Construction of the corrugated iron roof

Installation of roofing sheets:

+ You should start from the highest point to the edge of the roof, then use screws with neoprene washers to fix the roofing sheets.

+ The first roofing sheet should protrude from the edge of the roof at least 2 cm. When stacking other roofing sheets, you need to make sure that their edges overlap by at least 2.5 cm and then continue until the entire roof is covered.

+ If there is still a hole in the corrugated iron roof, use more materials to seal it. Placing a 100% silicone bead or silicone sealant before laying down the roofing will help strengthen the roof edges and effectively attach the materials to each other.

Install gutters and roof panels:

Installing roof frills: Roof frills are metal strips that are used to enclose the entire perimeter of the roof. During construction, you can use nails to nail the roof to fix them. Be sure to place the roof fringe over the edges of the gutter!

+ Complete the installation process: when the construction is complete, do not forget to check it one last time to avoid mistakes during construction and clean up excess materials.
